Hop on your bike and get ready to Conquer the Coast this weekend in one of the most scenic, challenging and rewarding bicycle treks around.  The ride begins at 7:30 a.m. Sept. 21 at Whataburger Field at 734 E. Port Ave. in Corpus Christi. Riders can . Whatever you choose, you'll see majestic views from the entertainment and art district to Harbor Bridge and the Marina to miles of spectacular coastline, including a ferry ride.

Conquer the Coast is an annual cycling event held in Corpus Christi each September. More than 1,500 riders participate to benefit the Tarpon Foundation, a scholarship program for the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islander Athletics Program and the Chamber Foundation.

The ride ends at Visitor Village, complete with food, drinks, live music and vendors. And this year, for the first time ever, you can end your ride — and cool off — at Hurricane Alley waterpark!
