TELL CHARLIE BROWN! PUMPKIN PATCHES POPPING UP ALL OVER — October may not bring much cool weather to the Sparkling City by the Sea, but it does bring pumpkin season and all the fall festivities that come with it. The first weekend in October marks the grand opening of some of the best pumpkin patches on the Coastal Bend! Here are a few of our favorites. If planning a visit make sure to call and confirm hours. Times can change based on weather and other factors.
Already gathered from the field, theses pumpkins are ready to be thumped and carved:
- Grace United Methodist Church — 11222 Leopard Street, Corpus Christi, (361) 242-3333. Open: Oct. 6-Oct. 31; Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday from 1 p.m .to 6 p.m. Already gathered from the field, the pumpkins are ready to be thumped and carved.
- Island in the Son United Methodist Church — 15602 Highway 361, Corpus Christi, (361) 749-0884. Open: Oct. 6-Oct. 31, Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to dusk (around 7 p.m.); Friday from 3:30 p.m. to dusk, Saturday from 10 a.m. to dusk and Sunday from 1:30 p.m. to dusk.
- St. John's United Methodist Church pumpkin patch — 5300 S. Alameda Street, Corpus Christi, (361) 991-4342. Open: Oct. 6-Oct. -Oct. 31,from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays and Saturdays, and from noon to 7 p.m. Sundays.
- St. Peter's by the Sea United Methodist Church — 1541 Waldron Road, Corpus Christi, (361) 937-1456. Open: Oct. 6-Oct. -Oct. 31, every day from 10 a.m. to dark. Hayrides, too!
