[image id="9257" title="ncaa corpus christi challenge" class="alignright size-medium wp-image-15028" width="214" height="300" ]NCAA BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT FRIDAY & SATURDAY — Cheer on the Texas A&M University Islanders during the Corpus Christi Challenge Nov. 29-30. The first NCAA Basketball Invitational Tournament in Corpus Christi includes teams from across across the country competing at the American Bank Center, 1901 N. Shoreline Blvd.
Teams include Liberty University, University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, Hampton University, Missouri State University, Sam Houston State University, the University of Virginia and Southern Methodist University. Each team will play four games: two games on a campus court and the two final games at the arena. Games will be televised on the CBS sports network.
The event opens with Missouri State hosting Hampton University at JQH Arena Sunday, Nov. 24. Two days later, Liberty University will travel to Missouri State for competition. Missouri will then move on to a third-round matchup with Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Fri., Nov. 29 at 9 p.m. The winner of that game will play the winner of the Virginia-SMU game the next night at 8 p.m. Third-round losers play Nov. 30 at 5:30 p.m.
