Join Scuba Santa as he feeds the fishes at the Texas State Aquarium Dec. 12-14.

COME SEE SCUBA SANTA AT THE TEXAS STATE AQUARIUM — Santa stars as a guest "Diver in the Water" at the Texas State Aquarium these last few days before Christmas. Scuba Santa feeds the fishes at 11 a.m. daily from Dec. 17-24. The Christmas Eve feeding is set for 10 a.m.

The jolly ol' underwater elf first feeds the fish in an exhibit that resembles a reef in the Gulf of Mexico. He then takes time from his busy holiday schedule to pose behind the glass for pictures with the kids who have come to watch. Carefully clicked photos make you appear to be underwater with Santa!

The reef in the Flower Gardens exhibit resembles an actual reef in the Gulf that is some 100 miles from the aquarium. Santa will be feeding a green moray eel, a variety of fish such as the porcupine and French angelfish, along with barracuda and cow nose stingrays.

The aquarium is located at 2710 N. Shoreline Blvd. The "Diver in the Water" show is free with the cost of admission, which is $18.95 for 13 and older; $17.95 for seniors and military, $13.95 for children ages 3 to 12; free for children ages 2 and younger and members. Parking is $5.
