FREE FIRE & WATER EXTRAVAGANZA ON NEW YEAR'S EVE — Play games, enjoy festival foods and crafts while listening to music amidst the beauty and grandeur of the Corpus Christi Water Garden this New Year's Eve. Festivities reach a high point at midnight with a dazzling fireworks display. The 7:30 p.m. event is absolutely free.
No matter what celebration venue you choose to ring in the New Year, be sure you have a safe ride home. Appoint a designated driver if you plan to drink, or take advantage of the New Year's Eve Free Ride Home program. Green-N-Go Cabs and Yellow Cab are providing free taxi rides home from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. New Year's Eve. Also contributing to the service are the Brunkenhoefer Law Firm and Dos Equis. The rides are only from party to home, not from party to party or to bars.
