[image id="9304" title="guns and ammo museum of science and history" class="size-full wp-image-22782" width="621" height="363" ] Four hundred years of guns and ammo are on display at the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History.

Four hundred years of gun technology will be on display at the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History when the Guns & Ammo exhibit opens on Friday, Jan. 10.

Attend an exclusive showing at the grand opening Friday from 7 to 10 p.m. for only $15. Ticket price includes food, drink ticket and music, all set to a Wild West theme. Admission is free for new or renewed memberships.

Many of the guns and ammo on display have not been in museum storage, but not seen by the public before, say museum curators. Some pieces date back to the 16th century. Interactive displays include:

  • Ammo & Accuracy — see how accurately you can shoot a 1861 Navy issue brass revolver
  • Locked & Loaded — race the Redcoat to load and shoot an 18th century Flintlock pistol
