Is your Corpus showing? Well, there’s a T-shirt for that! Two long-time Corpus Christi residents have taken a friendly insider quip and turned it into quick selling slogan.
“Your Corpus is Showing” T-shirts and koozies (one koozy free with the purchase of two shirts!), have been disappearing off the virtual shelves ever since Melanie Granado and Korbin “Boomer” Matthews began promoting them online Sunday, Jan. 5. In fact, they sold out within 12 hours of launching their sales site, ohcorpus.com.
In the spirit of “Keep Austin Weird,” the slogan “Your Corpus is Showing” sums up what it’s like to be from — and live in — this growing Coastal Bend community.
While part of the inspiration for their new enterprise was to cash in on a good idea, another motive was in operation as well. Matthews told reporters he also wanted to demonstrate that young people in the area can use their creativity to build a business or career in Corpus Christi — and have fun doing it.
