The lake is stocked and ready for your kids to come out and catch a few at Lake Corpus Christi Saturday, Jan. 25. A small section of the lake has been stocked with rainbow trout just for young anglers. Fishing rods will be available, too. No pre-registration required and the event is free of charge for kids ages 5 to 12 years old.
The 22nd annual Lake Corpus Christi State park Kid Fish event is supported by the Ed Rachal Foundation and Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD).
Hourlong fishing sessions begin at 9 , 10, 11 a.m. and 12:30, 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. Eighty kids per session can throw in a line and learn the thrill of hooking their very own fish.
