The 250,000 plus people looking for fun things to do in Corpus Christi had to look inside the first few days of Spring Break. Since Friday, the skies have been cloudy, the temperatures cool to downright cold and the air wet with rain. The bleak winter-like forecast is expected to last only one more day, however. And though it IS officially still winter, it usually doesn't seem like it on the Texas Coast this time of year.
Today's forecast promised a 50 percent chance of rain with a high of 64 degrees F and a low of 58 degrees F. Tuesday has a 30 percent chance of rain with a high of 76 degrees F and a low of 59 degrees F. Wednesday will be sunny but windy, which should blow all the clouds away and leave sunshine and crisp, warming weather in its wake. Not enough to dampen Spring Break spirits, hope local businesses.
"We are expecting another busy Spring Break for 2014," said Ashley Higson, Communications Director of the Corpus Christi Convention and Visitors Bureau. "We happily anticipate an increase in visitors over last year."
Have fun and look for sun and temperatures in the 70s for the rest of Spring Break.
