Three hotels, an Arnold Palmer designed golf course, man-made lakes and residential living will soon come together to make Pamilla Beach Resort & Golf Club the first "True Texas Beach Resort," say the developers. The resort is being built on Mustang Island at 3628 Island Moorings Pkwy. The golf course, which is the heart of the resort, winds through 222 acres of wind-swept dunes and is open for play.

Infrastructure for Village North has been completed and the walls of 5,500 to 7,900 square-foot homes are rising. Fifty acres of homesites with stunning ocean and golf course views are now available for purchase says the company. Prices range between $295,000 and $750,000.

Village South, which is currently in the design stage, will cover 105 acres, also with views of the golf course and beach.

Of the three planned hotels, one is a 120-room hotel and convention center overlooking Island Moorings Marina just west of the golf course. A second beach-front hotel is planned as a high-rise. The third will also overlook the beach and encompass the golf course clubhouse.

The development is being designed as a walkable community with a variety of public common areas. Along with the golf course, the project will include a resort-style pool and around 350 boat slips.
