Buc Days, a much-anticipated Coastal Bend event, returns to Corpus Christi’s bayfront on May 4, 2023, for an 11-day run of fun and festivities that includes two parades, an air show, a rodeo, live music, shopping, and all kinds of foods.
This pirate-themed festival, which turns 85 this year, began in 1938, replacing the annual Splash Day, a celebration of the start of summer that dated back to 1917.
From May 4-14, the 2023 Buc Days will pack in more events than you can shake a saber at, beginning with the annual Dunking of the Mayor on May 4 when Mayor Paulette Guajardo walks the plank and drops into Corpus Christi Bay.
