2015 Festival of the Arts, March 27-29
Celebrated annually on the last weekend in March, the Corpus Christi Festival of the Arts honors all things artistic in and around the beautiful South Texas waterfront. The festival takes place March 27-29, 2015, at Sherrill Park, Old City Hall, 101-199 N. Shoreline Blvd.
Patrons once again will enjoy the 15-by-15-foot Italian Street painting created each year by an array of internationally recognized artists. The event includes a wide range of talents in ballet, musical and contemporary dance performances, visual art exhibits, independent film and sand sculpture.
The festival also showcases a variety of local, national and international artisans as well as lectures, workshops and tram tours of downtown public art and food vendors. All events are free.
For children 12 and younger, the KidZone offers free art activities, including mosaic, collage, printmaking, stencil and watercolor art. On March 29, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., there also will be onsite storybook readings.
