The second annual Mayor’s Fitness Council Kite Festival takes over Cole Park Saturday, Nov. 8 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Get moving, get fit and go fly a kite at the 2014 Corpus Christi Kite Festival at Cole Park on Saturday, Nov. 8, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sponsored by the Mayor’s Council on Fitness, the Kite Festival encourages family participation.
“Pack a healthy picnic and come down to the park to enjoy the fun,” said a spokesman for the council.
Festivities will include building your own kite and kite-flying demonstrations by Carter Tate, a local stunt kite flyer.
Hosting along with the council are the Texas State Aquarium, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and other nonprofits, all of which will have booths and activities set up in the park. The event is free!
