A new Chick-Fil-A may be coming soon to 4946 S. Staples Street. The company filed an application for a permit recently for new construction at that location with an estimated cost of $750,000. Also in the food business, Rita’s Italian Ice has filed a permit to remodel space at 4200 S. Alameda St. Suite C. Estimated cost is set at $35,300.
The ever popular fast-food chicken chain and the frozen treat provider join some 20 other permit requests now being considered by the city’s Development Services Department. Those include:
• Mora Insurance, $6,600 remodel to split space into two professional offices, add two doors and enlarge restroom at 3061 S. Staples St. Suite A
• Tax Office, $3,400, same as above at same address
• Gulfway Shopping Center, total of $50,000 or three remodels, 1346 Airline Rd.
• Paradise Bay Apartments, total of $70,000 for repair of minor fire damage in three units, 5901 Weber Rd., Building 4
• Ayers Plaza, $72,600, parking lot expansion,4918 Ayers St.
• Legends Barbershop, $46,000, finish out for new business, 5922 Yorktown Blvd, Suite 112
