Another “Let’s Talk Corpus Christi” public hearing will give city residents a chance to participate in a public discussion with a variety of city leaders. The third of these events will be from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21 at the Northwest Senior Center, 9725 Up River Road. Previous events were held in April and August.
City Manager Ron Olson hosts the meetings as a way to increase two-way communications between citizens. Along with Olson, others representing the city on hand to answer questions will be: Assistant City Managers Gus Gonzalez and Wes Pierson, Utilities Treatment Executive Director Mark Van Vleck and Public Works Executive Director Valerie Gray.
One hundred people showed up at the April meeting to discuss streets, stray animals and the water supply. A second meeting in August drew about 50 people, most interested in the same three main topics.
Olson is hoping for an increased turnout to his fall event. Call-center representatives will be available to take down any work order information that comes out of the meeting.
