The online Master of Business Administration program at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi made the list of the top 50 online MBA programs in the nation, coming in at number 22. Tabulated by affordablecollegesonline.org, the ratings for the 2015-2016 year are based on the program’s cost, support service, student/teacher ratio and accreditation.
“It’s exciting to see our online program get this kind of recognition,” said Dr. John Gamble, Dean of the College of Business. “Our students enjoy the program’s flexibility along with the affordability that comes along with the high-quality accredited education.”
The program consists of 30 credit hours and can be completed in 12 months. Tuition is $11,820 for instate students and $23,970 for out of state students.
“The program helps students develop the analytical, technology and communications skills needed to advance beyond any plateau in their career and improve their earning potential,” Gamble said.
According to Affordable Colleges Online, MBA are one of the most valuable degrees available to students today. An MBA gives graduates a higher level of job security, a wider range of career options and greater earning potential, says the organization.
Having an online option for an MBA degree was certainly an incentive for Ali Bhimani, a recent graduate who works as a clinical information analyst at a local hospital.
“I chose the online MBA program at A&M-Corpus Christi for convenience and cost,” Bhimani said. “Plus, because the program was online, I was able to manage both my studies and my full-time job.”
