No matter what the season, The Texas Surf Museum hangs 10 in an endless summer. The museum, which explores the history of surfing and the Lone Star State’s unique place in that history, has been closed since Jan. 1 for renovations and the installation of a new exhibit  A grand reopening happens Jan. 23 with the latest exhibit on surf movies and memorabilia from the 50’s through the 70’s.
Along with its fresh new look and exhibit, the Texas Surf Museum is introducing a Sunday yoga series. For 12 Sundays in 2016, the museum will be partnering with instructor Erica Bertero from BGB Yoga for donation-based classes. All proceeds benefit the Texas Surf Museum, and all stretches benefit your health, well-being and surfing skills. Check out the flyer below for the dates!

The Texas Surf Museum has a collection of artifacts, photos and history about the classic sport of surfing. Take a gander at more than 35 historic boards, including boards used by the ancient Polynesians and wooden boards used in the 1940s.
The museum also features historical fins, news articles, dioramas and hundreds of photos featuring Texas surfers. Any time you enter, you can catch a local surf flick at the museum’s theatre. The gift shop sells Hawaiian shirts and a plethora of other surf-related items. 
Admittance is always free, “just like the waves!”
