Early February building permit requests to the city’s development office included a whopper: $28 million for a new senior living facility. Designed by GHLA Architects, the planned assisted living community is planned for 3010 Airline Rd. in Corpus Christi.
The Covenant Group, which includes the project’s head company, TCG Development, specializes in developing every aspect of a senior living facility from concept design to financial planning to general construction and operational planning.
Other permit requests to the city include:
• City of Corpus Christi Signs and Operations Shop, new construction, 5352 Ayers Building 21, 12,000 sq. ft., $2.2 million;
• First Cash Pawn, new commercial, 2821 Airline Rd., 14,633 sq. ft., $1.5 million;
• Wonders Bar and Grill, tenant finish out, 4733 S. Alameda, 3,3373 sq. ft., $195,000;
• Torrid at the Shops at La Palmera, tenant finish out, 5488 S. Padre Island Dr., 2,858 sq. ft., $$160,000.
Three permits were issued for construction for construction to begin for:
• Flint Hills Administration 2 Building, 1750 Nueces Bay Blvd, 17,751 sq. ft., $4.8 million, professional offices;
• Chicken Express, 3014 Cimarron Blvd, 3,376 sq. ft., $675,000, restaurant;
• Morning Donuts, 5425 S. Padre Island Drive, 1,121 sq. ft., $37,400, professional offices.
