Throughout the month of March and into April, the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History will hold events for families and children seeking activities during holidays and beyond.
The museum will begin opening on Mondays as of March 7 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Wild Science Weeks begin March 7-18,  featuring daily science-themed activities.
“We’ll have different activities all around the museum that are science related that kids can interact with,” said museum executive director Carol Rehtmeyer. “Museum Life features actors who physically bring history to life, and we’ll have science shows every hour on the stage.”
March 14-18, the museum presents Spring Break Science Camps, a sampling of the various camps they will be hosting during the summer.
“It’s like a potpourri of all the different summer camps the kids can look forward to,” Rehtmeyer said. “We’ll also go on a field trip.”
Celebrate Easter at the Museum on Saturday, March 19 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with the annual EggStravaganza. Families are invited to participate in exciting Eggsperiments, cool crafts and fun games along the Bunny Trail. Activity stations will be set up throughout the museum where kids can earn eggs full of surprises. General Admission is free for members, regulation admission for all others. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
“Our Easter program will be an Eggstastic experience, where kids will be given a basket and an egg from each table,” Rehtmeyer said. “ After visiting all parts of the museum, baskets should be full of eggs.”
April 1, the museum hosts the first of two opening days for the new Science Center. The first is a preview from 7 to 9 p.m. The big public Grand Opening will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 2.
