Calling all young entrepreneurs. It’s time to register and prepare for Lemonade Day, an annual event organized by the Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce. A nationwide event, Lemonade Day teaches kids the skills to start their own business.
Citizenship skills are also a goal. Kids are asked to take the money they earn and “spend a little, save a little and give a little.” They learn to set goals, develop a plan, secure an investor, create a product, make a profit and give back to their community.
This year, Lemonade Day is Saturday, May 14. Kids who have been working all month to prepare will set up stands around the city to sell their own personal brand of sweet and sour citrus drink.

• Workforce Solutions locations at Sunrise Mall or Staples
• CC Chamber of Commerce, 1501 N. Chaparral
