It’s a wrap! Two new city bus wraps, with two different sides each, hit the road this week honoring Selena Quintanilla Perez. Several bus stop benches in high traffic areas have been wrapped as well, all in preparation for Fiesta de la Flor May 6-7.
The wraps are a gift to the community from the Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority in partnership with Iconic Sign Group, a longtime preferred vendor for CCRTA.
“I hope everyone here in our city and all those who are visiting will look at these buses and benches with a smile on their face and a sense of pride knowing Selena was one of their own,” said Selena’s sister Suzette Quintanilla Arriaga. The Quintanilla family worked with CCRTA and Iconic Sign Group to develop the artwork.
One of the buses will appear in the Buc Days Illuminated Night Parade, Saturday, April 30. Both will be on regular routes throughout the city until October 2016.
