Combine molecules, learn about gravity, run with dinosaurs and more for a buck at the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History.
The museum is offering a rare dollar day Saturday, April 30. Anyone visiting the museum on this special day will pay only $1 for admission, saving up to $8 per person on regular admission.
The museum is throwing the event to show off its new H-E-B Science Center. The $3 million expansion brings science into the hands of children (and adults!) with fun attractions, including a planetarium, a shipwreck, a virtual chemistry lab and so much more.
From 9 a.m.-5 p.m., the museum will engage visitors with interactive displays and performances. Live actors in the history and culture sections will bring the past back to life. Hourly science shows will create wonder and excitement. The new outdoor playground and music garden, the three-story DNA climber and the musical staircase will allow kids to play and learn at the same time.
Learn more about the new science center here, where our 10-year-old reporter, Kai Robertson Meyer, gave us a kid’s-eye view of his experience — because the best way to find out if kids are going to like something is to ask them.
