HAUNTED SHIP — Get in the Halloween spirit on the USS Lexington, which will be doubly haunted now through November 2. The World War II aircraft carrier and museum is said to be haunted year-round by a young crewman believed to have died on board.
Just in time for for the spookiest season of the year, comes a maximum haunting experience that takes you to areas of the ship never before open to the public – if you dare! Children under 6 are not recommended for this ghastly haunting, but the rest of the family will be frightfully entertained.
“You’ll be going up and down ladders and down long, dimly-lit hallways," says Debbie Crites of Castle of Terror Productions. "You’ll never know what you’ll encounter around the next corner.” The 20-minute tour aboard the ship known as the Blue Ghost is back for its second year with even more thrills, says Crites, who called it an intense haunted experience. Not recommended for lightweights!
Tours start at 7 p.m. and run until 1 1 p.m. on select Fridays and Saturdays in October. Get there early or buy a VIP ticket to bypass the lines. Tickets are $15 per person or $30 for VIP. The Wounded Warrior Project will receive $1 from every ticket sold, so your blood curdling screams and fiercely beating heart are all for a good cause!
