FINAL DAYS FOR 'WILDLIFE IN FOCUS' EXHIBIT AT ART CENTER — From now until December 29, Corpus Christi art and environmental fans have the chance to see a truly inspiring exhibit at the Art Center of Corpus Christi. "Wildlife in Focus" is a collection of 100 images of the diverse species that make the Coastal Bend their home.

For the past year, photographers and landowners have been pairing up to capture natural wildlife beauty at its finest. Judges chose the images for display over a three-month period.

Animals showcased range from bobcats and deer to bugs, turtles, snakes and bats.  The goal of the 13-year-old contest is to showcase the beauty and diversity of the many species that inhabit the area, and by doing so push a message of conservation.

Over 90 percent  of the land in Texas is privately owned, so it is important that these photographers are able to partner up with the landowners to capture images of the animals in their natural habitat. Landowners receive a portion of the prize money from the contest.

The cost of admission to the exhibit is free. The Art Center of Corpus Christi is located at 100 N. Shoreline Blvd. It is open to the public everyday except Monday.

Hours are Tuesday-Saturday 10 a.m.–4 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m.-4 p.m. For more, visit the art center's website.
