A new business aimed at worker safety in the oil and gas industry is hosting grand opening ceremonies on Thursday, Jan. 23 at their location at 430 Navigation Blvd. in Corpus Christi.
Code Red Safety provides safety personnel, products and training for industrial site workers. The company started in 1995 serving heavy industrial areas in northwest Indiana and northeast Illinois. Headquarters are in Hammond, Ind. The company has expanded to St. Louis, Mo., and Houston. The two newest locations are in Corpus Christi and Midland.
The company trains and offers temporary staffing or workers and safety supervisors. All are qualified in safety training techniques from CPR to rigging and space rescue certification.
"With the increase of the oil drilling that is taking place near Eagle Ford Shale, we are taking the opportunity to supply the oil fields with all of their safety needs to create a better and safer environment for the workers," said a company press release.
