[image id="9323" title="corpus christi first" class="size-full wp-image-24060" width="318" height="235" ] Corpus Christi First is now the first full weekend of every month. As of March, that will include Friday's ArtWalk, a new Saturday event (check back here for more), and the Harbor BridgeWalk on Sunday.

Corpus Christi First Full Weekend events begin Friday with a Mardi Gras-themed ArtWalk in La Retama Park. From 5:30 to 9 p.m. admission to the museums along the ArtWalk will be free of charge. Food and craft vendors, live music and family friendly activities will keep the action moving along 23 city blocks and past 100 businesses.

"Even if it's pouring rain and cold, there is always a heated indoor place to go," said Alan Albin, Special Projects Manager for the Corpus Christi Downtown Management District. Along with the businesses, museums and galleries that stay open late for the ArtWalk, the Ritz Theater will be featuring live music — and a place to sit.

Stop by the info tent at the corner of Mesquite and Schatzell streets for free Mardi Gras beads and details on how to win a free ArtWalk T-shirt.

"We've got a competition going on to win T-shirts," Albin said. "Tweet or Instagram the ArtWalk and we'll give you a free T-shirt while they last."

T-shirts will also be available for those wearing their Mardi Gras finery on the Sunday Harbor BridgeWalk. The BridgeWalk begins at 8:30 a.m. in Heritage Park. This is the last month for an 8:30 a.m. beginning. The March 9 BridgeWalk will begin at 7:30 a.m., beginning the spring and summer hours.

March will bring a few new surprises to the First Full Weekend events, so check back here for more information. You can also "Like" the Corpus Christi First Facebook page to keep up with all the exciting changes.
