Corpus Christi hockey fans can now catch select IceRays games on CCTV, the city’s municipal TV channel. The city and IceRays have joined skates to provide select games at 5:30 p.m. on Mondays and Fridays. Game rebroadcasts begin Friday, Oct. 9 and run through April 2016. All five National American Hockey League South Division foes will be featured in telecasts.
“The Corpus Christi IceRays are an important part of our community,” said Mayor Nelda Martinez in a press release. “The replay telecasts will give everyone an opportunity to experience the excitement of IceRays hockey.”
Aside from spreading some hockey love to non-believers, the IceRays hope to keep fans who can’t always make it to the team’s home at the American Bank Center connected to the season's progress.
“We’re excited about presenting these games to our fans,” said Scott McClarren, IceRays director of special events. “This is a nice way for them to keep up with the hockey club.”
CCTV can be found on the following cable channels: Time Warner and Grande Cable Box Channel 20 or Digital 82.20 and AT&T Uverse Channel 99. For more information about the CCTV schedule or IceRays telecasts contact the City of Corpus Christi Public Communication Department at 361-826-3211.
