Every youngster who registers to participate in Lemonade Day will automatically be entered for a chance to win a stand built and donated by Braselton Homes. The lucky winner also gets to operate his or her lemonade business on location at La Palmera Mall during Lemonade Day May 14. The prime location promises a lot of foot traffic and lemonade sales! The drawing will be held April 30.
Lemonade Day is a nationwide program aimed at teaching today’s youth how to start, own and operate their own business. Registrants are given information to help them establish and execute a business plan and even seek funding if needed. They are also encouraged to save, spend and contribute. The program encourages them to spend a little of the profits on themselves, save a little for the future and donate a little to a favorite charity.
Presented by Kleberg Bank and organized by the Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Lemonade Day is open to Coastal Bend youngsters from pre-K through high school. More than 1 million children national wide participate each year.
