Weather delays have pushed back a planned opening for the Outlets at Corpus Christi Bay in Robstown from November of this year to March 2017. Located at the intersection of Interstate 69 and Texas 44, construction for the 330,000-square-foot shopping mall is shaping up and preparing for new tenants. The mall is adjacent to the Richard Borchard Regional Fairgrounds.
Newly announced retailers committed to joining the mall are H&M, Guess, Toys R Us and Brooks Brothers. Also included are Kay’s Jewelers, Skechers, Express and Zales jewelry store. Two or three additional anchor stores are expected to announce soon, a spokesman said.
Currently the only anchor store, H&M will take up 24,000 square feet for adult and children’s clothing, along with maternity and sports apparel. Based in Sweden, H&M is one of the world’s largest fashion retailers, specializing in “fashion-forward apparel at affordable prices in a sustainable way,” reads the webpage.
The mall’s nine buildings will include restaurants, along with a food-truck area and outside covered seating.
