The Coastal Bend’s very own Padre Island National Seashore is offering visitors several fee-free days in 2017.
This year, visitors have 10 days to enjoy any national park at no charge. Mark your calendar and take advantage of these opportunities to spend a day at the beach. 
Entrance fee-free dates:
Jan. 16: Martin Luther King Jr.
Day Feb. 20: Presidents’ Day
April 15-16 and 22-23: Weekends of National Park Week
Aug. 25: National Park Service Birthday
Sept. 30: National Public Lands Day
Nov. 11-12: Veterans Day Weekend 
Keep in mind that extra user fees, such as camping, tours and boat ramp launch passes will still be collected at the park entrance.
