Learn how to grow your business by attending this year’s Big Event by Del Mar College’s Small Business Development Center. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, in Room 106 at the Center for Economic Development, 3209 S. Staples St.
Workshops include “Doing Business with GSA” by Albert Garza from the U.S. General Services Administration; “Expanding Your Exporting Opportunities” with Daniel Rodriguez, U.S. Department of Commerce, and Berenice Espinosa, International Trade Center; and “How to Utilize Labor Market Intelligence to Grow Your Business” with Amy Villarreal, Workforce Solutions of the Coastal Bend.
John Mabry of ExxonMobil will give a project update on the world’s largest steam cracker plant slated to be built in San Patricio County over the next five years. Mabry is the keynote speaker for the event’s luncheon, which begins at 11:30 a.m.
At 1:30 p.m., participants will have an opportunity to network with vendors. Cost is $20, which includes a lunch buffet by Beauty and the Bistro.
“Come discover new customers for your products and services,” said a spokesperson with the Del Mar College Center for Economic Development.
