Have a pint with Lorelei Brewing Co. — from the comfort of your own home.
Lorelei Brewing Co. is the first craft brewery in Corpus Christi to distribute canned beer. Last week, the family-owned brewery started the canning process on two of its beers: Khyseius Blonde Ale and Ephyra Double IPA.
Available at the end of July, craft beer enthusiasts can find the canned beers at H-E-Bs in Flour Bluff and on Saratoga and at all area Liquid Town, Spec’s and Spanky’s stores.
On July 29, the brewery is hosting a release party to celebrate this monumental occasion. The party will have live music, food trucks, chances to win prizes, free swag, and more.
The brewery is named after a German lore: For centuries, Lorelei Rock on the Rhine River fooled sailors into thinking they heard a beautiful mermaid singing. The “singing” was actually caused by an echoing waterfall at the bottom of the rock. Thus, the mascot of the brewery is a German mermaid.
The brewery, located at 520 NAS Drive, is a comfortable spot to spend an afternoon. Locals flock there to relax on its patio, and play games like giant Connect Four, cornhole, giant Jenga, and more while enjoying a selection of craft brews.
