The Arts Alive! festival in Corpus Christi has been rescheduled to Sept. 23-24, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Annually slotted for Labor Day weekend, the festival has been pushed back due to the effects of Hurricane Harvey in the gulf coast.
Artists, volunteers and participants are welcome to call the Art Center for any questions at 361-884-6406.

Experience art in action at the Arts Alive! festival. Hosted at the Art Center of Corpus Christi, promise a bigger and better event than ever, thanks to a grant  received from the Corpus Christi Arts and Cultural Commission.
An extensive list of activities includes dance performances, live art, a hula hooping competition and hands-on art activities for the whole family. Make your own 3D collages, dreamcatchers, flower crowns and shell paintings.
More than 50 artists will be on hand with booths offering art for sale and live demonstrations including leather tooling, glassblowing, ceramic wheel throwing, jewelry making and more. You can even glaze your own pottery, which will be baked in a flaming garbage can!
Stand by as local airbrush artist Adrian Cuevas paints a mural of a glowing kiln on the Art Center’s steel double doors, which lead into the Barry Brown Clay Studio kiln room.
Special exhibits and craft time with the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History will educate and entertain. Don’t miss the singing and storytelling session by the Sparkling City Mermaids.
Arts Alive takes place on September 23 and September 24, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Admission costs $5 per day for adults, $1 for ages 12 and under.
