Frost Bank is moving, leaving behind its eponymous home in the second-tallest business tower in downtown Corpus Christi. One of the nation’s 50 largest banks, Frost Bank plans to build a new home on on a piece of property near the waterfront.
The four-story office building will be built on a vacant lot on South Shoreline Boulevard between Park Avenue and Broadway Court. No timeline for construction is available, but the company has applied for a permit with the city.
Frost has until 2019, when its lease runs out in Frost Plaza, to make the move. The 23-story building is located at 802 N. Carancahua St. It is second in height to the tallest of the two towers at One Shoreline Plaza, which is 28 stories. It was the tallest building in the city until One Shoreline was completed in 1988.
