Seafood and Spaghetti Works is an iconic, family-owned Port Aransas restaurant. Jay Kenigsberg founded the business over 41 years ago, initially conceiving it as a water park. Over the years, the Kenigsbergs rolled with the times, focussing on the restaurant and perfecting its classic menu. Jay and his wife Stephanie practically raised their five children there, giving them jobs as they grew up.
"We've been coming to Jay's since the 1970s," writes Chris M. in a Yelp review. "My favorites are Richard's Fish and Joe's Fish. They are great, and I can't get anything like them anywhere else. I live in Round Rock, Texas and I would make the four-hour drive to Jay's just for the Butterfinger Cheesecake with Butterfinger Sauce. Yes, it is that good."
Another long-time regular, Carol Jean Crocket Myers, recommends Seafood and Spaghetti Works on Facebook. "No trip to Port Aransas is complete without a visit to Spaghetti Works!!! We have been coming here since long before they moved to the new location," she writes. "I have never had better. The fish is always delicious, and perfectly cooked."
On a recent visit to the island, Crocket Meyers and her husband couldn't stay away. "We left in a bit of a food coma (as usual), but we talked about it all day today, and decided we would come back one more time before we head home to San Antonio on Thursday. That should tell you something!! "
