Waterpark open weekends now; 7 days a week starting May 24
Hurricane Alley Waterpark has reopened for the 2021 season, its 10th year of fun in the sun and water in downtown Corpus Christi.
Located at 702 E. Port Ave., the park will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. every weekend for a $10 admission per person until Memorial Day. As of May 24, the park will be open seven days a week.
Season passes are only half-price at the moment. For $39.99, pass holders get a free souvenir cup refill and a free cookie with the purchase of a meal through September. In June, July, and August, season-pass holders can bring a friend for free. Birthday packages and souvenir purchases are 10 percent off for pass holders.
Special events include Dive-in Movies every Tuesday at dusk. Grab a tube and float your way through popular movies on the screen over the wave pool.
Sensory Friendly Sundays are 9-11 a.m. every Sunday from May 31-Aug. 29.
The park is loaded with great water slides and a lazy river for those who like to take it easy between the thrills. Included is the shredder for surfers who want to catch a wave. The Cat 5 is a thrilling six-story slide with two-person tubes and spectacular spirals. Momentum is half the height of Cat 5, perfect for younger sliders.
The park also has a four-lane racer slide, a wave pool, splash pads and kid-friendly, water-based play areas. For the parents and older guests, welcome to the swim-up bar.
Hurricane Alley Waterpark is located next to Whataburger Field. Visitors under the age of 2 are admitted for free.
