New parking lot and recreational support at park
Phillip Dimitt Municipal Fishing Pier, 101 Jester St. in Corpus Christi, will be closed for construction improvements at the park daily from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday-Friday.
The Dimitt Pier Park project includes a new parking lot with ADA access, erosion protection, concrete slab reinforcement, and added picnic tables, lighting, and basketball goals.
Early morning, evening, and weekend access to the pier will give residents and visitors time to enjoy recreational fishing and the outdoors.
It’s possible that the pier might be completely closed on occasion due to construction activities and safety concerns.
The project is anticipated to be finished by March 2022.
