Participate in the Historic Preservation Photo Contest
The Corpus Christi Landmark Commission is holding a photography contest to celebrate National Preservation Month in May. Captivating photos that depict the city's historic sites are requested through May 1.
Novice and professional photographers of all ages are invited to participate in the Historic Preservation Photo Contest. Architectural elements, important buildings, a site of a historical event, a monument that recognizes a moment in history, or a street view a person would like to see preserved are several suggestions for the subject.
To participate, contestants must post high-resolution photographs, up to three, on their own Instagram account or Facebook page. The posts must be public with the hashtag #PreserveCC22.
The city will review submissions after the deadline and post them on the Development Services Facebook page. Corpus Christi residents will be invited to vote on the photographs by “liking” them. Voting will take place May 3-31.
The five photographs with the most “likes” will be displayed on the city’s social media sites for La Retama Public Library, City Hall, and Development Services.
Visit the city of Corpus Christi website for more information.
