In one 24-hour period, donors raised $2.3 million during the annual Coastal Bend Day of Giving. The money benefits 46 different charities involved.

A 24-hour period of community giving netted 46 area nonprofits a total of more than $2.3 million during the ninth annual Coastal Bend Day of Giving. Held on Nov. 14 this year, the community-wide event is administered by the Coastal Bend Community Foundation. Donations are made online and by phone to the giver’s favorite charity on the event list.
This year, 6,957 donations totaling $2,369,691 will be divvied up between the following groups:
