Easy access to Corpus Christi information now available

With a simple touch of 3-1-1 on the phone, residents and visitors can now access the Corpus Christi call center, linking directly to city services and departments. Issues such as gas leaks or odors, utility service problems or billing, animal care, code enforcement, and graffiti can all be addressed via 3-1-1.
The goal of the new 3-1-1 system is to streamline processes to improve response times, limit phone transfers, and reduce non-emergency calls to 9-1-1. Response times are improved because of the way the system is set up for a call to go directly to the proper department, as the caller chooses on the answering menu, according to a statement from the city.
A new 3-1-1 mobile app for city services is available for mobile phones in the App Store or Google Play by searching for MyCC311. The app allows residents to take a photo of a concern and upload it into the system for a more immediate solution.
Call center phones are open from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday. In the case of an emergency, dial 9-1-1.
Residents traveling and outside of the geofence of the 3-1-1 number may still call 361-826-2489.
