Corpus Christi voters resoundingly approved $75 million worth of bond issues on Election Day, Nov. 3, giving the go-ahead to 42 different infrastructure projects. Packaged into three different propositions, the bond packages each received about 70 percent approval from voters.
The first of the three, Proposition A, provides $61 million to 22 different street projects.
Proposition B allocates $12 million for 18 park projects, including replacing old city playground equipment, designing a new city pool facility, and adding a new animal rescue center at the Texas State Aquarium.
Finally, Proposition C addresses public safety with a $2 million bond that will replace Fire Station No. 3 at Morgan Street and build a new Police Training Academy complex.
