With a new president in charge, the United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce is asking for feedback from current and former members as well as non-members on plans for the organization’s future. Four town hall meetings will be held in October to explore ways to better meet the business community’s needs.
“The purpose of the town hall series is to explore what our membership and the Corpus Christi community perceive as the strengths, weaknesses and opportunities of the United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce,” said Cleo Rodriguez, Jr., chamber president and CEO. “Feedback shared during these events will play a key role in developing the chamber’s plans for moving forward as an advocate for the Coastal Bend business community.”
Each meeting will reach a different audience, including current members of the chamber, former members of either the Corpus Christi or Hispanic chambers before the two merged, non-English-speaking businesses and businesses that have never been chamber members.
“I look forward to meeting with our current, former and potential members and to initiating an open, honest conversation about where we have been, where we are and, most importantly, where we need to be as an organization,” Rodriguez said.
