Just in time for holiday shopping, La Palmera mall will return to its regular hours as of Nov. 1. The mall will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Hours were cut back on May 1 when the mall reopened after being closed to help stop the spread of the virus that causes COVID-19.
In October, the mall will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
Curbside delivery has become a permanent fixture with designated "La Palmera Curbside Pick-up" parking spots.
Santa Claus plans to make an appearance at the mall this year despite the continuing pandemic. In-person visits will be available from noon until closing, Nov. 20-Dec. 24. Visits will be by reservation and follow protocols set up by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Virtual Santa visits also will be available from 8-11 a.m. Monday-Friday, also by reservation.
More details will be available Nov. 19.
New businesses that have opened in the mall this year include Lovisa fashion jewelry and Charleys Philly Steaks.
