Two city pools and the Corpus Christi libraries recently reopened after being closed since stay-at-home orders were issued in mid-March. All facilities will enforce protections against the spread of the novel coronavirus for the time being.
Collier Pool reopened Friday, May 8, and the Natatorium on Monday, May 11, for lap swimming only. Reservations are required and can be made by contacting 361-232-1989 or aquatics@cctexas.com. Social distancing rules will be enforced on the pool deck. Also, locker rooms will remain closed.
Natatorium hours are 5-9 a.m. and 4-8 p.m. Monday-Friday and 1-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The Natatorium is located at 3202 Cabaniss Parkway.
Collier Pool reservation time slots are 5 a.m., 6 a.m., 7 a.m., 8 a.m.,4 p.m., 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 7 p.m. Monday-Friday and 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Swim time is 45 minutes from the top of the hour. Once swimmers are out at 15 minutes to the hour, the pool is cleaned and ready for the next swimmers.
Reservations at both pools can be made 24 hours in advance for three days. Drop-ins are allowed if lanes are available. Six lanes are available per hour.

LIBRARIES
All branches of the public library partially reopened Monday, May 11. Reservations are required to use computers and internet access as well as the copy machine or to obtain access to public documents for reviews. Sessions on computer or internet are limited to 90 minutes per day.
Anyone entering the library will be required to wear a mask and keep 6 feet away from other patrons and library personnel.
Book loans will still be handled curbside as has been the case since COVID-19 restrictions closed down the buildings.

The book drop is open for returns. Books checked out prior to March 20 should be returned by May 29.
