Texas ranked tops in franchises with Coastal Bend’s help
Texas has been ranked the No. 1 state for franchise growth in 2022, according to the International Franchise Association's 2022 Franchise Economic Outlook, and Corpus Christi is playing a part in that growth.
A franchise is a company that carries out specified commercial activities under a trade name or trademark, offering owners services to help make the business successful. According to IFA, franchises will add 257,000 jobs with good pay and benefits in the next year, bringing the total number of franchise workers to 8.6 million.
Diana and Eugene Lopez, owners of Fyzical Therapy and Balance Center in Corpus Christi, joined the medical franchise in the fall of 2020.
“We are experts in physical therapy first,” Diana Lopez said. “Neither of us had the business experience, but with the benefit of the franchise, we have a support system.”
Fyzical is the fastest-growing physical therapy franchise in the United States.
“We are very fortunate to have the team behind us — their holistic mission falls with ours, with a positive outlook,” she continued.
The Lopezes have regular meetings with an advisor to keep them up to date on insurance, marketing, and business practice.
Corpus Christi is a target market for Scoop Soldiers pet waste removal service. Josh Cahill and E.J. McCoy are founders of Texas-based franchise.
“Texas is a hyper-growth market, and as we expanded throughout Texas, we wanted to share the opportunity,” Cahill said. “Franchising was the way to do it.”
“A lot of people are are moving to Texas,” Lopez added.“Corpus Christi is a great place to open a business. People are hungry for more services.”
