A portion of the interactive digital tool the public can use to get a feel for how to balance a city budget. Revenue is fixed, but you decide where to spend it.

A new interactive tool, A Balancing Act, now allows anyone to collaborate in real time to balance a virtual version of the Corpus Christi city budget. The city is holding a series of meetings to introduce the technology to residents and asking them to help decide how city funds should be spent.
People can use smartphones, tablets or personal computers and don’t even have to come to the meetings to participate. A virtual meeting is also scheduled and will be broadcast live on Facebook, Twitter and CCTV Channel 20.
Versions are available in both English and Spanish. You can work with the tool at any time online.
The virtual meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, August 24. The other meetings, held in actual buildings with people present, are set for:
