A new Visitors Information Center has opened in Corpus Christi, smack dab in the middle of downtown. Now located in the Water Street Market at 309 N. Water St., Suite D, the center is neighbors with the Texas Surf Museum, the Executive Surf Club, and Water Street Oyster Bar.
“The center will be in the middle of it all,” said Meredith Darden, vice president of Experience for the Convention and Visitors Bureau. “Water Street Market represents the heart of downtown.”
The operation moved from its most recent home in Heritage Park. Before that, it was on the seawall in the shadow of the American Bank Convention Center.
Best news of all is that the center is actually open to visitors. It has been closed since June 2020 because of COVID-19.
Hours are 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday.
