Pay your city utility bills and report barking dogs on your phone with the new, recently launched mobile app My City. The old app, Corpus Christi Mobile, was discontinued last month, said Tracy Cantu, assistant communications director. The new app offers better service and will save the city money.
“The new vendor offered us a better deal with newer technology,” Cantu said. “We recognized our existing app needed upgrades.”
The app can be used to search for a job, check on flight information at Corpus Christi International Airport, or pay traffic fines. The free app also is useful for reporting graffiti and animal cruelty.
The biggest upgrade is in bringing together more services for easy, free use by residents including connections to the city’s social media accounts and the website. The city will also have the ability to send push alerts for emergency situations such as hurricanes.
“We wanted to make it more convenient for residents to access city services,” Cantu said. “This brings all the services together.”
To download the app, go to the app store on your smartphone or tablet and search for MyCity. For more information, visit cctexas.com/mobileapp. You can also email customerservice@mycusthelp.net.
