The rumors are true: Aurora Arts Theatre is back in business. The latest executive orders on reopening businesses by Governor Greg Abbott has spurred the community theater to prepare for its live production of Neil Simon’s “Rumors!” The theater also will be airing fan-favorite films free to the public this summer, as a fundraiser. While admission fees for Cinema Days are waived, donations are appreciated and will be used to help fund future theater productions.
“Rumors!” plays July 3-August 2. The next Cinema Days presentation, a “Grease” sing-a-long experience, will be at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, June 20.
Concessions are available for purchase. In accordance to Governor Abbott’s Executive Orders, the following safety protocols will be implemented at the theater:

  • people not in the same group will have to have two empty seats between them;
  • • employees will be required to wear masks;
  • guests are encouraged to wear masks;
  • hand sanitizer will be available throughout the building;
  • social distancing signage will be posted;
  • staff will disinfect areas most exposed to germs between each show.
