Have some turkey with your fish at The Texas State Aquarium, which is open on Thanksgiving Day, and offering guests a complimentary meal and other Thanksgiving treats.
Visit the aquarium on Thanksgiving, Thursday, Nov. 23 to explore all of the attractions. Then make your way to the aquarium’s Pepsi Shoreline Grill from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. for a turkey dinner and sides at no extra cost.
The meal is the aquarium’s way of showing gratitude and thanks for and support from its guests and the community.
The Texas State Aquarium closes at 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving, but returns to its regular operating hours of 9 a.m.-5 p.m. the following day.
The aquarium will be closed from Monday, Nov. 27 through Thursday, Dec. 30 for annual repairs and renovations.
The aquarium will reopen on Friday, Dec. 1 — the first day that Scuba Santa dives into the crystal-clear waters of the Coral Reef exhibit located in the new Caribbean Experience. Scuba Santa will be diving daily at 10 a.m. from Dec. 1—24.
Admission is $34.95 for ages 13-65. Senior, military and student admission is $32.95. Children ages 3-12 get in for $24.95. Kids 2 and younger are always admitted for free as are aquarium members.
